Design Process Explained

Initial Consultation  Visit
When you first ask us to come and see you, your dedicated garden designer will bring a portfolio of work showing different examples of our work. You can discuss your requirements, the amount of help you need with the design and build of your garden and agree on the fees. This first visit is free, as it is your chance to decide if we are the right designers for you.

Brief
On accepting us as your designer, an appointment will be made to survey your garden and take a full brief. This is your chance to let us know exactly what you like and dont like.  Our designer will leave a few design books for you to consider before this meeting and you can take time to discuss your needs and all your wishes.

Concept Plans
A couple of weeks later our designer will bring one or two concept plans with ideas for you to consider based on your brief.

Final Plans
Once you have agreed the concept, final plans will be drawn up. You have a choice of standard layout drawings or more detailed plans with elevations or perspectives. The choice is yours.

The Build
Once you have recieved the plans we can send copies to one of our recommended Landscapers for quoting.  Some clients like to build their own gardens and this is fine. In this case you may want us to come back and help with the planting.

Project Management
All design fees  allow for up to three site visits during the build of your garden:-  once at the start of a build, part way through and on completion. If you would like more project management please feel free to discuss this with us in more detail.

Planting
Once your garden is built you will want to add a wide variety of plants. We can prepare detailed planting plans, source plants and plant them on your behalf.
